Facing Fear

Fear may be caused by a threat to our life or safety or something that may cause us to suffer loss. It is also the absence of trust that God will direct, provide or protect you. We all have fear in our lives. Fear is designed into us to protect us from harming ourselves or from putting ourselves into harms way. When we have not done anything to instigate the cause of fear and a treat arises then we become fearful.

This is where God comes in to protect us or to help us to deal with the fear. The situation or threat may still remain but God will give you the strength to face it or to get through it. When you face fear then turn your face to God for help and watch the fear flee.

Jamon was told by God that he would never have to be afraid again; however Jamon has had many fears in his life. He has had to deal with many heartaches, setbacks, disappointments and losses. During these times Jamon was fearful because he did not know what the outcome would be or how to deal with some of the situations he had to go through. Jamon remembered what God had told him and got through to the other side of the fear where faith was waiting for him.

This does not mean there was not pain or loss or hardship it only means that after a period of time that faith returned and as a result Jamon became wiser and stronger than before and so will you.

Jamon’s thoughts on fear

God will help you to overcome your fears if you will let him.

It takes more courage to seek God on your knees than to give in to the fears you have on your feet.

Don’t be afraid of God’s light because when you step into His light fear vanishes.

God’s love and protection comes down from heaven to cover you so do not have to hide in fear.

Once you choose faith over fear the battle is won.

You can accept fear or reject it, it’s all the same to the fear but whatever you decide will make a big difference to you.

A cup of faith can overcome a room full of fear as a candle fills a room with light.

Dark spirits live in the shadows of their own fears.

Fear vanishes when you stop running from it and turn to face it.

Fear soon disappears when faith shows it’s self.

Fear’s only goal is to smother faith.

Fear shrinks as faith grows.

Fear, once recognized may be overcome by one word “faith”.

Fear has a tendency to grow if not rebuffed by faith.

Fear only produces more fear and then before you know it you are consumed by it.
